The first movement in G Major features a syncopated melody that calls for a crisp staccato and "ritmo preciso." This tune stays in your head long after you've played it. The second movement in D minor has a lovely lyrical melody, and one wishes it were longer than 2 pages! The flashy third movement is very fast, requiring frequent hand shifts and makes a great ending to this sophisticated yet accessible sonatina.
