Summary
The Operations Supervisor is a fulltime role that supports back-of-house operations, including inventory flow, process and quality control, piano prep, general facility and vehicle upkeep, and communication. This position requires a combination of hands-on operations experience, product knowledge, and ability to work well with all parts of the team.
The successful candidate is someone with a strong character, positive attitude, and hard work ethic who wants to be a part of a locally owned and growing small business where each team member has an impact. This person demonstrates organization and flexibility, enjoys serving with excellence and working in a team setting, and can handle the physical moving parts of an operational warehouse with large products. Past experience in piano/furniture/wood finishing repair, inventory sourcing/intake/preparation is preferred. The position requires strong computer and communication skills. Most activities occur during M-F business hours, with occasional evening/weekend support.
Main Responsibilities
Piano Inventory
Serve as primary point person for flow and quality control for piano inventory, including incoming, onsite, stored, and outgoing pianos, as well as project/pipeline management for service and repairs, documentation, showroom placement, and final make-ready coordination.
Provide team lead function for back-of-house activities, working closely with piano technicians, finish/repair techs, and Operations
Coordinator to ensure clear communication and smooth day-to-day operations.
Review & screen potential consignment/purchase inventory, in collaboration with team.
Lead internal piano transport, including moving and setting up inventory throughout warehouse and retail store, photo studio, as well as occasional offsite piano moves when applicable.
Serve as piano case and cosmetic repair oversite (and/or execution if qualified)
Facility and General Operations
Oversee in-house facility upkeep (cleaning and major repairs/maint. outsourced) and handle routine vehicle maintenance scheduling and logging for company vehicles.
Support front-of-house and general business activities, including help with event set up and special projects as needed.
Supervisory
Serve as central point of contact for back-of-house team, determining priority of projects to achieve team goals and clearly communicating with team (service, repairs, tunings, etc.).
Maintain documentation for service logs, inventory pipeline, and intake log
Co-lead weekly service team meeting, report KPIs in staff meetings and contribute to leadership team meetings.

Skills and Experience
Operations oversight with the ability to build and maintain rapport with team.
Organized, detail oriented, consistent and diligent follow up/follow through, ability to handle multiple tasks.
Valid driver’s license required for occasional driving of company vehicles
Strong communication skills for varying
appropriate levels (internal, external, subordinate, leadership, etc.)
Role is physical in nature; requires ability to load/move pianos, lift up to 75 pounds, stand/walk.
