Students will thoroughly enjoy this upbeat piece in ragtime style! The essence of ragtime is captured in the syncopated melody. The traditional jump-bass accompaniment usually found in this style is replaced with one using harmonic 5ths and single notes. The easy meter (4/4) and key (F major) aids in keeping the piece accessible, and the simplified accompaniment allows students to enjoy ragtime style at an earlier level.
